Experience the arrival of the souls in Teotitlán del Valle, where Día de Muertos is woven into family life, community traditions, and everyday life.

You’ll spend the day with Olga, an En Vía woman entrepreneur who weaves and works with natural dyes, joining her family as they prepare to welcome their loved ones home. The day offers a chance to experience Día de Muertos through time spent in the home, around the altar, and within the community.

Teotitlán del Valle is known for its long-standing weaving traditions, with families continuing to pass down knowledge of wool, natural dyes, and textile-making across generations. These traditions form part of the backdrop to how Día de Muertos is lived and celebrated in the community.

As the souls arrive, you’ll see how offerings, food, family, and shared time come together to create a space of remembrance and connection.

Our Day of the Dead tours offer an intimate and authentic cultural exchange, centred on one woman, her family, and her community. Rather than following a fixed itinerary, the experience moves with the natural rhythm of the day.

All tour fees directly support En Vía’s interest-free loans and business education programs for women entrepreneurs.

CANCELATION POLICY

All Day of the Dead experiences with Fundación En Vía are non-refundable and non-transferable once confirmed.

Due to the nature of the celebrations, coordination with participating families, and very limited spaces, we are unable to offer refunds or changes.

Waitlist bookings: 100% payment is required at booking.

Public bookings: 50% deposit at booking, 50% before the experience.
